Despite the rabid criticism between two groups: conservative talk radio hosts and anxious Democrats, the Sarah Palin choice appears to be a brilliant political move on the part of McCain. Imagine having a year with everything stacked against McCain, yet he steady maintains and has even taken a lead against Obama at this point. Wait [...]

Huff Post is such an attack dog. It’s as if this woman has never done anything right in her life. No objectivity at all. This kind of sharp hatred is why the average Democrat isn’t much different from the average Republican. http://mespace.wordpress.comMore on Sarah PalinRead the Article at HuffingtonPost

Who are these “scholars”? Have they not noticed Obama is the No. 1 Democratic pick? And he was in the Senate for about a year before he started campaigning for president? Being able to take down a Republican incumbent governor and running the state of Alaska, a major oil drilling state (i.e., she’s intimately familiar [...]

Of course, she’s probably THRILLED about this. What a way to stick it to Obama without doing anything wrong. The more I see of Palin, the more I like her. Even though some of the Republicans think this is a bad choice. Obama is the no. 1 on the Dem ticket and he has less [...]

Could you imagine working “fast food” and wearing those polyester McDonald’s uniforms? At least the ones mentioned in the article are “campy” and fun. Though I’m not sure the people wearing them would agree. Hopefully they’re having fun and well paid. http://mespace.wordpress.comMore on FashionRead the Article at HuffingtonPost

I still want to see how all of this flushes out. Could be interesting to see TWO women sitting behind the president (Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the house). Her inexperience isn’t a big issue, since she’s just a VP and Obama has no experience. Republicans seem to be worried McCain is so old there’s at [...]

It’s surprising that the so-called liberal party wasn’t the one to hire a woman in the VP slot. Then the Obama Democrats have nothing good to say about Palin (not surprising). McCain is doing what Obama could not do, hire a WOMAN. Is progress only good if it happens on the Democratic team? I’ve heard [...]

I couldn’t help but notice Sarah managed to punt Obama out of the front headliner position of HuffPo. And this coming the day after his “historic” convention acceptance speech. http://mespace.wordpress.comMore on Sarah Palin Read the Article at HuffingtonPost

McCain SHOULD be emphasizing his military experience to counterpoint Obama’s complete lack of experience. Obama’s experience with the military is that he’s “related” to people in the military. Jimmy Carter lost re-election to a Republican. I wouldn’t listen to what he has to say about winning elections. http://mespace.wordpress.comRead the Article at HuffingtonPost

Is this what Bill Maher calls “false outrage”? When you can’t believe the luck that your song is getting national attention with a presidential candidate, but you have to pretend you’re peeved about it so your fan base doesn’t think you’re a conservative Republican? Kind of ruins the “We’re bad boys” reputation if you’re pro-McCain. [...]

There is a little bit of Katherine Harris in her. (Yikes.) If nothing else, it was a genius move on McCain’s part to do something Obama wouldn’t, put a woman on the VP ticket. She’s definitely no Hillary, but at least McCain isn’t all talk. http://mespace.wordpress.comMore on Sarah Palin Read the Article at HuffingtonPost

Say McCain wins the presidency by getting some of the female votes that would have gone to Hillary, had she been the VP choice for Obama. Then McCain retires at the end of his term, because he’s going to be on the older side. Sarah then becomes the GOP nominee. Hillary comes back with a [...]

Obama has zero foreign policy experience. Bush had zero foreign policy experience. Not a huge issue with a VP pick since they have a couple years to get some on-the-job experience. I wouldn’t say giving a speech in Germany could be considered “foreign policy experience.” The bottom line is that McCain was willing to hire [...]

Palin may be an obscure 44-year-old first-term governor and mother of five from Wasilla, Alaska, but in many ways she reinforces John McCain’s narrative. She’s risen to power by battling corruption in her own state’s Republican establishment, exposing misconduct by the state GOP chairman and challenging the incumbent GOP governor. She’s pro-life in practice as [...]

Great way to erase every advantage Obama received this week. The Hillary supporters now see McCain as willing to do something Obama was not, able to hire a woman to the VP ticket. Half the voters in the country are women. While Obama picked someone without a lot of change, McCain picked someone completely unpredictable. [...]

That’s a big problem with many dental offices. When teeth look too white or too perfect, they look FAKE. If you get dentures, you should have them made to look like your teeth when you were say 28. Biden seems like a nice enough guy. But the winner’s “opponent” managed to get more people in front of the TV. People aren’t interested in Biden. They built the Democratic VP choice up so high, they were sure to be let down. I actually think 24 million tuned in because of Bill Clinton’s speech. These [...]
